I know everyone said that he wanted to be with his family and all that, blah, blah, blah. There are plenty of people that do both, play and coach that are able to keep down a home life even in another place. Maybe those people aren't as focused as Cowher. I read that he wanted ALOT more money on his next contract and the Rooneys said no. That he wanted around $8m a year, which is equivilant to Mike Holmgren pay. This season he made $4m. He then decides to resign out of the last year to save face for the Rooneys out of respect instead of making a show out of it. :twocents:
If Ken Whisenhunt takes over, wouldn't be surprised, the Steelers will still be strong.

If he takes the Dolphin job, I hope his house burns to the ground, cause that would make him just another greedy prick!

It would be more fitting to see him take a few years off and coach College Ball at NC State. He would run an excellent college program and the players he would turn out wouldn't be like alot of the asses that come out of the college game thinking they are the greatest.

im not a steelers fan, but i would say that he showed no emotion what so ever this past year. i think hes gonna take a year or two off and just regroup himself. i dont think it has anything to do with the steelers, being a head coach for 15 years now a days takes its toll on a person. i think he felt it was time to relax and reevaluate what was going on before he jumped back in. no hard feelings to the steelers fans but i think its just his time to relax a little and then come back and take over another job....
